I keep talking about all the things I am working on yet nothing ever seems to get done. The twin feti are still nestled together on top of my printer waiting for a permanent home on an art piece and the quilt project is looking like it is going to go on all summer. I have discovered there is a good reason why I don't sew, I don't really care for it. It's not so much a dislike of the sewing itself it is the sewing machine I am having issues with. Besides the fact that I don't know what I am doing I can't see what I am doing most of the time either. The little toy machine has a very teeny tiny needle and bobbin area which results in great frustration for me. None the less I am sticking with it and hope to have the quilt completed (and usable) sometime soon. But the real reason I am not getting anything done is this lovely creature! Every time I begin to work I lay the pieces of the quilt out on my bed so I can see how things are progressing and try to formulate a game plan for my next move. And the minute I turn my back to rummage for more fabric my cat, Gris Gris, has to get in the middle of it all. This morning I thought she was going to take a quick peek then get down, she didn't seem all that interested, but the next thing I knew there she was, all stretched out for a nap. (How does one get mad at that?!?!)

Anyway, as proof that I really am working on this thing here are a few close up shots (as I said earlier I am quilting it in sections). And since I don't sew well I am going for an alternative quilting look :)
This is turning out to be way more difficult than I expected it to be, well not exactly more difficult, more time consuming, definitely more time consuming. But it's getting there.
If I could just keep GrisGris off it...........

You are too kind, as always. But I do agree that Gris is beautiful :)
